Hawaiian Eye Center
As one of Mana Means’ original clients, Hawaiian Eye Center (HEC) is Hawaii’s leader in cataract and glaucoma care. It was founded in 1975 and was one of the first to deliver modern outpatient surgery and high-quality service in eye care. Our goal over the years has been to increase brand awareness for HEC and drive new patients through the door.
What We Did:
- Focused on creating clear messaging that branded HEC’s doctors, rightfully, as experts in cataract and glaucoma care (and all things eye-related)
- Embraced testimonial-style advertising for both TV and radio, including one of Hawaii’s oldest radio shows—The Hawaiian Eye Show—hosted by their very own doctors
- Leveraged added-value opportunities from our ad buys to increase branding for HEC (interviews, advertorials, sponsorships, etc.)
- Utilized timely and relevant PR opportunities to get coverage for HEC on TV, radio, print and online to further build public knowledge and trust of HEC and its doctors (Honolulu Magazine’s “Top Doctors” and “Most Profitable Businesses,” Hawaii Business’ “Best Places to Work,” etc.)
Results:
The original office operates out of Wahiawa and a second office opened in Waipahu in 2014. HEC has outgrown its current Waipahu location and is expanding at a new location in Kunia Shopping Center in July.
